Growing in Tribulations Part 2 -  Pastor Verne teaching from Second Thessalonians 1:4. We learn how we grow in persecutions and tribulations. Spiritual growth starts with a connection with God then a connection with God’s people. Last Sunday, we considered verse 3 on the importance of progressing in tribulations. This Sunday, we’ll learn the importance of persevering in tribulations. What we are experiencing is identified as persecutions and tribulations due to our faith. Rather than reacting with fear and anxiety, we are to respond in faith. This means that we boast in the Lord by glorifying and exulting God. We are to be patient with a steadfast faithfulness to God despite the difficulties. We are to exercise our faith by trusting in the Lord because He is sovereign, wise, and loves us. And finally, we are to endure as we draw near to God and discover His dependability and sufficiency. Progressing and persevering in persecutions and tribulations are in the presence, provision, and power of God Almighty!
