At Foothill Bible Church we exist to follow Christ and help others follow Christ
Our Core Beliefs
At Foothill Bible Church what we believe is based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these Biblical doctrines.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the final authority for all matters of faith, life, and godliness..
God
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
God The Father
We believe that God the Father, the first Person of the Trinity, orders and directs all things in Creation, Providence, and Redemption according to His own Sovereign purpose and for His Divine glory.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, is fully man and fully God, lived a perfect life, died a substitutionary death on the cross for the sins of the world, was buried and after three days literally rose from the dead, conquering death, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.
The Holy Spirit
We believe, The Holy Spirit, the third of person the Trinity, indwells every true believer and is able by His grace to walk in the newness of the Spirit by obeying Jesus and thus becoming more like Him.
The Sinfulness of Mankind
We believe all people are sinners from birth, falling short of the glory of God, and are in need of salvation from sin and its consequences.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness and remission of our sins
Eternal Security
We believe that all the redeemed are kept by God’s power and are secure in Christ forever
The Church
We believe in the importance of the local church as the body of Christ and the believer's responsibility to be involved through faithful disciple-making and active membership
The Blessed Hope
We believe in the literal bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ before the seven-year tribulation to gather His church from this earth.
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ to set up His kingdom on earth which will last one thousand years and will be followed by the eternal state and the new heavens and earth.
