One Another Hope - First Thessalonians 3:9-10

Pastor Verne preaching on “One Another Hope” from First Thessalonians 3:9-10. A building is the place that the church meets. The church is people. The church is you and me. The Apostle Paul gave us a beautiful picture of what the church is to be like. We’ll learn that the church is a place of thanksgiving (3:9a), a place of joy (3:9b), and a place of prayer (3:10). Thanksgiving means we are focused on God and for one another. There is to be a spiritual joy of loving, following, and serving God. This is what we desire and are pursuing this for one another. What is the church praying about? We are praying for our gathering together. This is what the church does. We meet to love and serve. And as we gather together, we grow together. This spiritual growth is the development of Christlike character in us. God uses one another to stimulate us to love and good works for His glory.
