We are a Praying Church
The church are those whom God has called out from the world and set apart for Himself. Our summer sermon series has focused on the ingredients of a God-honoring church. We have already considered that we are a believing church, a family church, and a Bible Church. Pastor Verne will continue by highlighting that we are a praying church from Acts 2:42. This means that we are a people who bow down before the Lord and speak out loud to Him in confession, adoration, thanksgiving, and supplication. We’ll learn that “prayers” reference the method that was practiced in the early church as the church developed and expanded. Prayer is also a helpful measurement of honoring God in the local assembly. Corporate and together praying is an indispensable ingredient in the God-honoring church
