We are a Family Church
As we prepare to move into our new Worship Center and then change our church schedule to one service, we're considering Acts 2:40-47. These verses describe life in Christ’s church. Last Sunday, we learned that we are a believing church. Today, Pastor Verne will teach that we are a family church. Being a part of the family of God is a great blessing bestowed upon believers. We are children of God and brothers and sisters in Christ. To be a part of God’s family requires entering the family of God by grace through faith. One must first be saved and then baptized according to Acts 2:40-41. This passage goes on to teach that about the experience of family in the church in Acts 2:44-46. Two places are identified in this section. They are “the house of God” and “house to house.” The gathering of the church includes corporate worship and the community of faith. Believers were also gathering in their homes ministering to one another in love and showing hospitality to one another in love. These are the blessings of being in the family of God.
