The Joy and Crown of our Hope - 1 Thessalonians 2:17-20

Pastor Verne preaching on The Joy and Crown of our Hope - 1 Thessalonians 2:17-20 . Though the Apostle Paul was separated from the Thessalonian church, he had a heart for the saints (2:17-18a). He wanted to see their faces and enjoy their fellowship. The relationships of Christians with one another in the church is so vital and necessary. We must place value and priority on the preciousness of the fellowship of the saints. This is why one of the strategies of Satan is to hinder fellowship in the church (2:18b). Satan attempts to oppose the leaders and servants in the church. The devil seeks to distract us from fellowship with one another to other pursuits. How important it is for us to remember that the hope of future satisfaction is the joy and crown of all that we share in Christ (2:19-20). Everything else fades away in light our rejoicing together when Jesus returns for His church. May we give ourselves to fellowship with one another as we strengthen and deepen our loving care for our brothers and sisters in Christ for the glory of God.
