We return to Philippians to consider “The Humble Joy of Applying God’s Word". There are plenty of challenges in life and personal application of God’s Word rises to the top of the list. Everything written in this remarkable letter to the church at Philippi boils down to application. We’ll learn that spiritual progress as a Christian requires learning and receiving truth, starting with the gospel and continuing with godliness. It’s also helpful to understand that how we live is a spiritual pattern for others. We are an example to people who are observing how we live. Spiritual growth requires pursuit. We keep moving forward and pressing toward the goal of Christlikeness and pleasing God. May we follow Christ and help one another follow Christ.
