The Hope of Election

Pastor Verne preaching on, “The Hope of Election.” We learn that the church is a gospel community of brethren who are loved and chosen by God. What we believe is because the Bible is God’s Word (2Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 17:17). All the words of the Bible are God’s Word. To disbelieve or disobey any Word of the Bible is to disbelieve or disobey God. The message of 1 Thessalonians 1:4 is that we are to be knowing the brethren, knowing that you are loved, and knowing your election. We are brethren, spiritually born into the family of God and we are brothers and sisters in Christ. God has set His love upon us as His children, and we are loved by God. We are also to know our election by God. Election is the sovereign, independent, and uninfluenced act of God. We believe we are brethren, we are loved, and we are elected, because the Bible tells us so
